My wife and I had brunch with our friend today and it was lovely. We are U.S. citizens living in Spain and she is an Iranian living in Spain. We have developed a nice friendship over the past year and it’s that kind of thing that gives me hope for our future world. Governments are not people. 🫶

Woke up to the good news from our lawyer that our Spanish visa 2 year renewals were granted- so we are legal and good to go until mid 2028 when we do this renewal again. It’s a relief but it will take awhile to get fingerprint appointments for our ID cards and then get the actual cards. 🪪

One of the many reasons I love My Wife so much is that she is very outgoing and openhearted. She went upstairs to take a dropped sheet (laundry) to our new neighbors above, and ended up staying up there and cooking with them. They just moved to Spain from Kuwait and have a young son. Neighbors🫶

Pretty sure I broke my pinky toe smashing it into an ottoman. How can such a tiny little piece of our body hurt so damned much?! 🤦‍♀️😭 My honey grabbed an ice pack for me and then continued on cooking.. she made homemade chicken noodle soup and my fave— a margarita for my pain ❤️😍

One year ago today my wife and I boarded a plane in Miami and headed to our new lives in Valencia, Spain. What a year it has been— not one regret for the choice we made. 🇪🇸

Watching the USD value plunge and glad I exchanged plenty of it to get Euros before Orange fuck took the reins.

We are nearing the Spain August shutdown and I was reminded of it when I tried to book a facial and massage, and then tried to make a couple other appointments. 😂 Some of my favorite stores and restaurants will close for most of or the entire month. Everyone goes on holiday at the same time.🤷🏼‍♀️😊😂

Despite the heat, today was a good day.Ran some errands, bought a new rain jacket (for future travel plans) and a few other clothes and goodies and had a nice lunch at home with my wife.Then we walked down to the Mercadona with our carrito and packed it full for less than €55.🫶 #ValenciaSpain 🇪🇸

Delivery man today asked why I moved to Valencia from the U.S. I start using my Spanish to say how pretty it is here and how kind the people are..and he just says, “Y Trump?” I said of course, he’s a bad, crazy man…and he just agreed and said, “Bienvenida.” 🫶

Have my songs on shuffle and playing on my tv… 📺 and this blast from the past came on. 🎶 How could you not love Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam? #GenXMusic
