*Finally*.

No, don't like that.

3. Most of the most hyped tech companies have been most profitable via ad-funded web services that have absurdly huge margins and almost zero marginal costs, scaling hugely makes you huge amounts of money, meanwhile solar + batteries are highly competitive manufactured products with slimmer margins.

2. Part of that stale assessment is because fossil fuel companies and their associated lackey have worked incredibly hard for many many decades to attack and spread all the FUD they possible can about clean energy, and it still works, including the joys of petro-masculinity BS.

I strongly believe if you could somehow wipe everyone's knowledge of solar + batteries, and then introduce them as brand new things, exact same pricing and specs, people would lose their fucking minds because the assessment of them wouldn't be updating a stale one.

Personally I think it's: 1. Solar + batteries have gotten much cheaper year after year, but what they do is the same, so it doesn't force a re-evaluation in lots of people's heads. It's more "that thing that I thought of as not a big deal (unconsciously: as it was pricey) is now cheaper".

Hey, after he cracked corn, all bets were off dude.

Hey Reconstuctionist's brain, if he's useless, then it follows that the system that is saying he is useless, as in, you, is also going to be useless at assessing his usefulness. Can't have it both ways, you neuronal motherfuckers.

I remember a student here involved in organising a rent strike against his university, using one to get his them to hand over proof that they had campus security following him around, as they'd recorded him on CCTV and taken notes about him, so of course he had a right to see all of that.

Just thinking about how much you would fucking adore GDPR Subject Access Requests.

Hey, any updates on this?

000

On one hand someone posted increasingly douchey things at me for pointing out they hadn't, on the other, another literally deleted their popular reply in response.

I'm always reminded of how Jon Favreau posted a screenshot of people being unpleasant to him in his mentions on here, but when I checked ClearSky, he hadn't blocked a single fucking one of them.

Incredible site 10/10 no notes

This then combines with how Bluesky looks and feels similar enough to Twitter that a lot of people, especially those with big accounts, don't bother to take the time to learn how it actually works differently, especially in terms of being able to inhibit people being dicks to you.
