Widely available public washrooms are essential to a healthy and inclusive city—but we've all experienced Vancouver's lack of safe and clean washrooms.⁠

Our community has consistently spoken up for more public washrooms—and we're relieved to finally see a washrooms strategy on council's agenda this week. 🚽⁠

Some municipal issues that were brought up include: A need for meaningful consultation where residents' voices are truly considered and a desire for third spaces in the community to provide opportunities for connection and building relationships between neighbours.

Community members gathered on a Sat. afternoon at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House to discuss what local government issues matter most to them.
