Excellent thread about awful stuff. Ugh. (Really wish both big MSP mayoral elections went differently.)

I tuned in late and thought "well, I didn't miss much" and then wasn't paying much attention because ugh. At least Justin was in the booth so it was soothing background noise. Anyway, glad it had a fun finish.

Better lower the flags in Minnesota to half staff when this happens. Also I nearly stocked up on nut rolls and nut goodies when that rumor went around a couple months back that this might happen. Hmm.

Twins were down 3-0 in the bottom of the 9th with two outs & my small grocery order arrived and there was a pitching change and I thought I could get it done before the probable final AB but ope, I missed seeing this live but it was still great to rewind and see it. Down to the last strike . . .

This is the sort of story in the past I would've told my husband about just to see and enjoy his WHAT THE FUCK? reaction. (If he wasn't dead but instead had been in a coma all this time, it would be non-stop WTF? looks as I told him what he's missed since November 2024.)

Yeah, I usually stalk my ballots online. I guess I'll probably put it in the mail today or tomorrow and keep an eye on it and if for some reason it doesn't get accepted in time then look at options.

It's so good! They had some good Vote Tony O merch and I'm so glad that campaign helped get him in the HOF. It's probably the cap he wore the most to games when he wasn't being goofy and matching his Twins caps to the colors of the opposing team.

Kevin was appalled when he heard what some shirts sell for new or even used and I did my best to not spend much and learned tricks for that (common ebay things like searching on misspellings) in addition to stalking clearance sales. He'd prefer a $10 shirt (I usually spent more than that).

(I'd prefer not having to go do in person voting if possible. I suppose if people think it's too late for the mail there must be other options.)

LOL. Go for it. Kevin had very muscular legs thanks to all the walking and biking he did; it was kind of cute how shy he was about it when he started wearing shorts more (and they were nearly knee length cargo shorts, nothing wild).

Both of these shirts are baseball shirts. Black one is Tommy Bahama, the other one is a vintage silk Nicole Miller shirt with a spring training baseball design; Kevin just thought it looked cool, I felt really triumphant when I found it. (I spent a lot of time looking for deals on cool old shirts.)
