Wanted to daylight this thread on the comparative cost of mainstreaming and oral education vs ASL / English bilingual education in the US. It's written to refute the absolute crank who jumped into @novicsara.bsky.social's replies on Monday, but it's one of the best summaries I've seen.
Sean Maiwaldlmfao dude the opposite is true. The issue is that the cost centers are spread out for oralist education rather than for deaf- or sign-language-centric education in the USA.
