That's not an RGH bathroom sink. The real ones you can turn on with your elbows or foot pedals, and have automatic soap dispensing, at least some do. Every-time a HCW came into my room they grabbed a new set of gloves instead.

They're bringing up an old topic to distract from a real problem, or set of problems, like staffing, employee retention, and infrastructure collapse. The water that flooded from the toilets came from outside, some drain pipe was clogged. It also flooded 3 ORs and 3 floors worth of patient bathrooms.

The RGH is old and sinking back into the swamp it was built on. There is so much added weight from the original construction there now (plus a concrete parking garage) sometimes the lower level access tunnels flood. HCWs use gloves mostly now, and hand sanitizer, so they don't touch anything else.

See the soap dispenser? Guess how it operates? If it's in a bathroom do you think they change the paper towels every time it's used? One of those hand washing stations where you use foot pedals in my room didn't work, and the sink was rusted/corroded. Toilets backed up or didn't drain on 3 floors.
