After much introspection, I’ve come to believe that my purpose in life is to convert as many people as possible to the Oxford comma.

Just a friendly reminder to surround yourself with the kind of people who support their local library, theatre, bakery, bookstore, and café.

Remember, it’s perfectly acceptable if your weekend plans consist of nothing other than reading a good book, drinking multiple cups of tea, and indulging in a scandalous amount of cinnamon rolls.

Okay but hear me out: A book club that meets in the middle of the forest, and everyone brings a basket of freshly-baked scones.

Don't allow anyone to tell you that a day spent exploring used bookstores, greenhouses, libraries, cafés, and bakeries "doesn't classify" as self-care.

Libraries make the world a better place.

It’s the perfect day to find a secluded cottage in the Scottish Highlands and go off the grid for a few years.

Just had the most invigorating three-mile run! Lol just kidding, I’m eating cinnamon rolls.

I work hard because I have two mouths to feed. These are the mouths.

Be the reason your local independent bookstore stays in business.

The monotony of the 9-5? No thanks. I'm much more partial to the monotony of reading Agatha Christie in front of a crackling fire in a Scottish Highlands cottage during a raging thunderstorm whilst indulging in endless cups of tea and a plate of emotional support scones.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if someone questions your decision to have a pint of Häagen-Dazs cookie dough ice cream for dinner as a part of your healing process, then they're failing to recognize that everyone's path to healing is different.

The world would be a better place with more bookstores, bakeries, greenhouses, libraries, gargoyles, cat rescues, museums, and Oxford commas.

At the end of the day, don't we all just want to read books and eat pastries in a seaside cottage during a raging thunderstorm?

If someone tells you that it’s “too early” to be talking about autumn, they’re failing to understand a simple truth: Autumn is not a time of year, but rather a state of mind 🎃🍁🍂

Granted, I may not be able to *prove* that reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula in a dimly-lit café in Prague on a rainy day whilst having cappuccinos and croissants exponentially improves mental well-being, but you're failing to acknowledge a very important point: You can't prove that it *doesn't*.

At the end of the day, don’t we all just want to inhale the intoxicating aroma of vintage books in a quaint bookstore on a cobblestone side street in Edinburgh during a pouring rain?
