I have too many ideas and keep splitting my time between them and then somehow I end up drawing trees instead of progressing the other things. I don't have any solid reason to be drawing trees.

This is a major reason I don't often love games set in medieval or fantasy medieval-ish settings. They're so brown! It's upsetting. I love actual medieval art & history and it's so much more interesting. (Also why Scriptorium & Pentiment are great.)

once again saying that the concept of color did, in fact, exist during the middle ages. you can dye stuff with plants!! there is noooooo reason that everything should be brown and grey and beholden to the raw color of the materials, please put a speck of color in there

In the week and a half I've not been doing my day job I have made & released my first Caves of Qud mod, started to learn watercolour, ordered most of the critical kit for what I'm going to be doing instead of my old job, and helped identify the cause of a bug in an early access game.

One thing I'm excited for in my new life is getting to live on my own schedule. I walked into my office as the sun was setting and left as it was rising. That wasn't as many hours as it sounds, fuck this latitude in the summer. (It was still pretty nice though.)
