I’ve actually had your time in Berkman in mind. I remember paying attention to your work at the time and being envious of what you were able to do there. I’m not saying I’ll be anywhere as impactful, but you were definitely an influence.

It’s worth saying, while I’m here: my last day at @propublica.org was yesterday. But I care a great deal about them both as a force for good and as a community of excellent humans. I will be rooting for them (and friends with them) forever.

That wouldn’t work for this - people save them to their camera rolls and post directly. It’d need some kind of image recognition / OCR and heuristic, which feels wildly like too much effort for what is basically a mild annoyance.

We seem to have organized our society around them, so I have to assume they’re smart and well-adjusted

Exactly where I am. I just sorted out a homegrown project timer plugin for it, so I can track my time spent on various things and save them to markdown files in my vault in ways I can annotate usefully.
