Public works has reduced the driving space so much that you almost can't do anything but drive the speed limit past this elementary school. This is outrageous. It's like they have no concern for the people who left home 5 minutes late to drive their kids to school two towns over.

I can vouch for your denial. That is not your hand. Not your phone.

This is a trick question. There's no budgetary rules, threshold of public opinion, or official act of any governing body that can keep police from exceeding their budgets by tens of millions of dollars.

People approach me excitedly while I'm at the grocery store, they show me their phones and say "sir, sir, look at this picture of traffic calming they're installing on 26th Street in Whittier." This is how you know I'm a pillar of the community.

It's very disorienting to come down a hallway and realize people are taking your photo while you look into a kitchen or laundry room.

People are concerned about traffic and parking.

I think drivers freaking out over the immense power they have to destroy themselves and those around them is great traffic calming.

I've never shopped for barricades but I imagine you're making tradeoffs between "able to survive vehicular missile attack" and attractive.

They're finally beginning to pave over the dirt patches on Bryant. Barricades should've been up the whole time. It's been a hazard for weeks.
