This was during the era in which I grew up, yet so many of the readers I knew from back then are happy to spew that "back in my day, comics weren't like this" nonsense.

Which I think is a pretty key distinction. Because while, yes, Massive Attack definitely made their stance clear in regards to Palestine, it was the crowd that started chanting, "Free Palestine" (once again, if my memory serves me correctly). A crowd of Singaporeans and people living in Singapore.

Here's the way I remember it: after "Girl I Love You", Robert Del Naja said that they were instructed not to play a song. They didn't say which song, but from what I can gather from their previous shows during this tour, it was a cover of "Regret of the Times" by a band called Seo Taiji and Boys.

I am sadly not at all surprised that some asshole either watched a video online out of context or went to a Massive Attack show and was completely clueless as to their stance—and then decided to report them to the cops.
