#augustworldbuilders Redatan boys are taught fighting, animal care and survival skills. Some, like Tharron, learn basic mechanics and animal care. They are taught to read, but not to write. This causes Tharron problems once he is made ambassador as he is drawing letters rather than writing them.

Redata has an agoge-like system. Midra does not have schools (some, like Mackerel Mar, went to Eilbreen schools). Eilbreen boarding schools are for kids (mainly boys) rich enough to afford them but not rich enough for private tutors. Many are attached to the Eilbreen navy to churn out officers.
