These crosstown bike lanes are great; also, New West really showing in the last few years that when it comes to cycling and pedestrian infrastructure, you can just get things done! The recent network buildout has been very impressive.

One week into the Broadway closure around Cambie, and the cycling & pedestrian experience is already much better than the Main St closure, for 2 main reasons: 1) this area already had a lot of good design elements, and 2) staff were much more proactive. Still a few trouble spots. More here:

We've been meeting with the City to help ensure this closure has better traffic calming on nearby bikeways than what happened around Main. The plan still sounds far from perfect, but a lot of improvements implemented. Kudos to city staff for being very receptive. We'll have more details soon.
