I wish I'd had the words to understand my disabilities when I was younger, and even more I wish that people would have taken them seriously. I'm in my 30's now, and finally surrounded by people who don't judge me for my disabilities, or treat me like I'm a burden. It's a wonderful feeling.
Sophie MollyDisabled young people exist. Being disabled is not reserved for the elderly Stop assuming all young people have boudless energy. Thinking positive and a can-do attidude does not make a disability dissapear. Disabled person myths are harmful. Stop spreading them.
