Thanks to all the VS volunteers who were out and about over the weekend, as we continue to ramp up towards the offical launch of our state election campaign on Saturday 1st August, 4pm at the Aboriginal Advancement League in Thornbury.

The Age is reporting that the Victorian government is planning to ditch the Group Voting Ticket system for the upcoming state election. If true, this is an excellent development - ensuring voters, not parties, will control what happens to their preferences in the upper house.

The Victorian state election will be held on Saturday 28th November. Victorian Socialists are running candidates across the state. Today, we're proud to introduce our candidate for Sydenham, Shania Khan.
