If Melbourne or many Victorian towns didn't have street trees, they would be horrible places! In the tropical towns they tend to have tropical trees like palms that fold and shred. Cars, bikes and boats flying around can be a problem though! SLR will bite soon, so moving is inevitable. To where?

You probably have a better understanding of appropriate clothing than many! Maybe it's an Aussie Scout or school thing, but we were always taught the shelter, water, food thing as kids.

Planning can be done well, or bloody awfully. Many old cities have heaps of charm, but most are based on water, trade, transport, food, gold in some cases. But how well will existing cities, packed with people, cope with the changes? Glacier fed rivers disappearing can upend historical norms fast!
