When we watched Terminator, the story was about how in the future #AI will kill us all with superior weapons and indestructible robots. Spoiler alert: AI kills us by taking our jobs and drinking water instead, in the name of capitalism. Also it's impregnable billionaire bunkers instead of robots.

Democratic socialism exists to SAVE capitalism from itself. Capitalists want a free market, right? And a free market needs a large population of consumers with disposable income. Democratic socialism keeps the population out of poverty by leveling the economic playing field. It's a zero sum game.

The complicity is and has always been non-partisan. Americans like to pretend the other side is to blame, but when a certain lobby group saturates both sides of the aisle with millions in donations, the corruption is spread accordingly.
