You shouldn’t even be able to drive downtown, never mind add free parking. #pedestrianizedistrict19
I wasn't crazy with how the Places markers were loading on the map, so I updated how they render to be cleaner. Also, deduping from OSM data wasn't working well for Bus Stops. I went ahead and wired up a GTFS connection to query stops from it instead. Hard refresh plz if you have any goofiness.

Such events are, of course, AMAZING for interested parties and stakeholders. They likewise do wonders for the social lives, status, and fundraising of politicians who back the events. But the Olympics, World Cup, Super Bowls, All-Star Games, F1 races, etc, etc do nothing for overall local economies.

We allow them to focus on nonsense like setbacks instead of focusing the conversation on people and our own journeys to where we live and what it means to be a community. I hate to see the idea of buildings being community something that’s entrenched with every community meeting.
This is abundantly true for Davidson County. If you’re a progressive in nashville you should be banging down the doors for abundant housing so every queer kid in the entire state of Tennessee knows they can move here and be a few degrees more protected.
Max Dubler 🏳️🌈Liberating queer kids from their unaccepting families has always been central to my YIMBY advocacy. It’s why I am so angry that San Francisco has refused to meaningfully grow its housing stock since the seventies.
