SILO has been uneventful this season, but finally, it's fulfilling its hint at making Common its much-needed anti-hero (or as much of an anti-hero there can be when the shadow of history itself is your greatest antagonist).

the 18 month old is hilarious. he was playing in the yard yesterday when he stepped on a walnut, rolled his foot, & fell; he picked it up, lookt at it, then tossed it as if to say "fuck you, you ol' walnut" but then everytime he fell, he'd look for the nearest walnut to blame, then throw it too! 😂

Romare Bearden was the most influential person in my career as a visual/digital collage artist from 2001 to 2018. im saddened having not made any collages these past 8 yrs (outside a few bookcover commissions). Black Venus (L) Mecklenburg County, Daybreak Express (R)

i wasnt a mama's boy, but if i disagreed with my parents then i just sat there in the fume of it... only on tv did know kids to talk back to their parents... rebellion just wasnt a common concept in black households when i was a kid. i lissen to my grandkids talk back to they mamas and i shudder!
