Theoretically yes. I’m sure they will propose some special sweetheart deal. When the people find out about it, it won’t hold, but I don’t trust any of these people any more than I trust people in the Trump regime. Why should I? Why should anyone?

The thing is lifetime appointments do the same thing, but you are stuck with them. All the right wing justices right now are political actors and we are stuck with them forever.

Furthermore, you claim term limited judges will be placed as political pawns. My claim is that lifetime appointments are being made as political pawns are installed for life! I’d rather they expire and take our chances than be stuck. This is basic logic and requires no deep analysis.

There have never been term limits for SCOTUS and there need to be. Congressional reps can be voted out, SCOTUS justices can’t. You love that Thomas and Alito are there for life because you are a dumb fuck.

SCOTUS reform is a multi-pronged project with many facets. Term limits are absolutely a progressive part of this reform. Most coalesce around 18 year terms.

No one is removing SCOTUS justices at the same time. You don’t seem bright.
