Ukraine hopes its campaign to destroy Russia’s refineries will end the war this fall, but is preparing for energy attacks this winter, Ukrainian Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal told Politico.

On 3 August, Russia struck a petrol station in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, killing three people - an 8-year-old boy, a 41-year-old man, and a 40-year-old woman. According to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, the strike was carried out using a jet-powered Shahed drone.
