Joe AdalianToday’s launch of ESPN JEOPARDY! marks the fourth new series iteration of the classic format in the last four years. I talked to EP Michael Davies and execs at Sony and Disney about the expansion, how the show is doing on streaming, and what comes next. www.vulture.com/article/why-...
Looks like BlueSky isn’t posting my posts as I post them? Sending this at 8:27 am PT Friday…this is a test. This is only a test.

Ok, so I liked Cape Fear overall, almost entirely because of Javier B and the overall vibe. But this is such a great description of what the show is.
vrunti started watching bc of your post lmao its like they dared someone to make a fake ryan murphy show
Meanwhile, in other example of the Free Press-ifcation of CBS News, it was the only network that decided to cover this story. Warning: it’s mostly Jan Crawford making Cunningham a martyr, and those disagreeing with her the bad guys. youtu.be/O_hYcVA8gQQ?...
US b’cast nets largely ignore news from overseas, unless it’s about the Iran war or some massive natural disaster—and even then, it’s rare. So it’s Bari striking that CBS tonight led with a report on a migrant “invasion” of a tiny territory…in Spain. ABC/NBC didn’t cover. youtu.be/qH6asJwrY8g?...

I hadn't heard about DUNESDAY until Eric mentioned it in a meeting. Great look at whether we're headed for Barbenheimer (2026) or...something else.
Eric Vilas-Boas“Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, all these other films that they’ve tried between Endgame and now aren’t clicking,” says @ercboxoffice.bsky.social “Sometimes you’ve got to drop a greatest-hits album.” I covered the hopes and fears hanging over Dunesday www.vulture.com/article/dune...

When Biden was unpopular, he was called unpopular…
Joe AdalianRespectfully, CNN’s coverage of its own poll underplays it’s most newsworthy finding: Trump’s overall disapproval has ticked up to 66%—the highest of either of his terms so far in a CNN poll, and 4 points worse than after Jan. 6. Strongly disapprove is now at 50%—10 points worse than Biden’s low.

Jenn AgiestaNew CNN poll: 73%, a new high, say Trump is not paying enough attention to the country's most important problems. Views on the war in Iran worsen, as economic issues remain deeply negative. @aedwardslevy.bsky.social has all the details here. www.cnn.com/2026/07/29/p...
If I could bring back one now defunct cable network, it would absolutely be Trio. The promos were amazing. The programming was amazing. Even the on-air look of the network was amazing Trio was, as the youth say, a whole vibe. youtu.be/MZIwBXWZ7Q4?...
My Lord, do I miss late 20th/early 21st century TV show marketing-- on-air, in print, on the radio. The networks (and then cable) collectively churned out hundreds of episodes of TV in a 9-month period, and almost all of them got some sort of promotion. It was cheesy, but it made you want to watch.
Zach WilsonHere’s some fun ads from that night.
I clicked on this because I’m very much in my Cool Britannia phase, and I certainly got a decent amount of UK country charm. But this report is actually gross and I don’t know who it’s for? Zero mention of cost, or of what locals think, or how big this “trend” is. youtu.be/ivE-KlAz9-A?...
