Dang! It’s been hotter than normal and too much rain. Been having flash flooding warnings all over where I live. If I could package some up, I’d send some for your plants. Mother Nature is being finicky. Climate changes driven by human pollution makes things worse & Mother Nature is upset.☹️

Clearly, these people making these decisions have never personally waged a fight against cancer with the chemo illness, radiation etc. These decision makers are subservient to an orange devil. They need to be fired ASAP.

It’s their lifespan. If animals are put in captivity for whatever the reason, it is up to humans to make sure they are taken care of and loved. It’s interesting you use the puff or sigh as a way to communicate with him. ❤️🐢

Boy Russian tortoisees are happier by themselves. Another boy= fight to death. Another girl tortoise? She dies from the stress of boy tortoise constantly harassing her. So, alone is better.

She’s a RES turtle. Spends a good bit of her day in water. She was eating pellets, freeze dried insects, occasional fruit. She was given romaine lettuce but she wouldn’t eat it. She wanted her fun food instead. Vet set up prescribed diet plan. It was battle of wills first week. Think picky toddler..

Our eastern painted female is full grown. She’s about 15 years old. She’s a hurricane survivor. She blew over on debris as a very late hatchling. She was found in salt water(she’s a fresh water turtle!)The seagulls were going to get her if she wasn’t rescued. Her shell is about 6 inches long.

Mr M. sounds so lovable wanting to hang out with you.🥰🐢 It’s great your daughter loves Mr M and wants to take care of him when you can no longer do so. We are working on the same thing here, to arrange the next generation of shell parents for our shell kids.

Yes. They live in water most of the time. And, yes, they are cute. ( I’m a biased turtlemom) They live in a 120 gallon tanks and have platforms for basking as they want to with UVA full spectrum lighting and UVB lighting.
