John ScalziIshtar was terrible and it hurts me to say it, because I adore Elaine May immeasurably, and this film essentially killed her Hollywood career for a decade. The film's recently undergone "re-evaluation" by critics saying it's better than its reputation. It's not, it's just a competent form of awful.
