Warped Tour weekend!

Emerging at LGB and ready for a Warped Tour weekend!

Wanted to get in on the Jimothy appreciation, but I can’t draw, so I wrote a poem! ☀️🦝

Finally saw “Shelby Oaks” - I thought it was alright, but I can understand someone being a tad underwhelmed if they bought a ticket instead of (as I did) renting a DVD at the library

Getting completely surprised by this trailer before The Odyssey was a true delight

Stray thoughts from The Odyssey (which was overall awesome): • Nolan movies are getting so loud that characters themselves are putting in earplugs • Literal “oh, snap!” moment at the climax • How do you trick a guy into thinking you’re not inside the giant horse he helped build?

Four people at the concert this evening with matching “Jimothy Eat World” shirts, it’s a good time to be in Seattle!

I guess I’d get more invested in the culture war over The Odyssey if I understood the stakes. Is there a law or holy text that sets binding standards for “realism” in a period piece? Did I miss a podcast where Odysseus said how the characters were supposed to look?
