Just beat it over the weekend! Had a blast with it. Was kinda shocked at how little emphasis there was on gunfights, but I’m not made about it. Felt pretty cool to be a spy!

Whenever someone tells me they don’t like Rob Zombie movies I always tell them to watch Lords of Salem because it’s the least “Rob Zombie” movie that Rob Zombie has made. A remarkably restrained (and very good!) film.

I also think a big part of it is that as we get older, we have less time to devote to discovering new things, so it’s easier to fall back on things we’re familiar with. Kids have all the time in the world… Until they reach a certain age and then they don’t.

Well, that’s certainly nothing new. I think we see older generations’ aversion to new music much more clearly than we do with things like film and television shows. The old “back in my day…” or the advent of rock ‘n’ roll.

I mean it sounds like you *do* want to devour new things but lament the idea of dusting off old things for nostalgia's sake.

I guess I just don't see why that's a bad thing.

It's certainly cyclical! The younger gens will undoubtedly experience the same thing in ~20 years. Though given how much more media there is coming out on a daily basis now than there was even just 20 years ago, who knows? It'll be interesting to see what sticks.

Okay, then how about this? Tickets for Gus Van Sant's shot-for-shot remake of Hitchcock's PSYCHO (which also used the same score and music cues) weren't charged at a discounted rate. Idk man, play the game or don't, but keep complaining if it makes you feel better! 😂

Idk given Gen Z's aversion to anything that's more than 10 years old, it might just be a game that's more for them than for you.
