I do not disagree. I share your belief that removing Putin will not necessarily end the war. Or suddenly lead to democracy. The thugs in charge will select a new leader internally. With or without a power struggle.

Not sure what you mean? As I understand it, Putin and his mobster buddies in the security services (FSB, GRU and SVR) are very much in power. More so than the duma and the oligarchs. Am I poorly informed?

This guy is dead serious. He has served in the war, organized volonteers that brings gear, fuel and food to the front. But clearly he is dumb as a rock. I'm sure he really believes Russia to be the last bastion of humanity and decency.

For once, he has a point, even if he does not understand it. They could have had better lives, if they as a collective made better choices. They had a window of opportunity as recent as the 90's to change trajectory. But they chose conflict before democracy and here we are.
