The convergence of extreme wealth, extreme political power and extremist beliefs is a direct threat to democracy. There’s no good reason that Elon Musk should have so much disproportionate power in our democracy. Also, this is incredibly stupid:

How is this real?

I’ve been studying Christian Nationalism for years and still have no idea what it has to do with the actual teachings ascribed to Jesus Christ. That’s because it has nothing to do with Jesus. It’s about power - and hate.

Orwellian. An ICE agent shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. He had lived peacefully in this country for 35 years. The Trump regime then lied, claiming drugs were in his vehicle at the time he was killed. There were no drugs. They are murdering migrants - and trying to murder the truth.

Trump may very well decide against trying to run again, or pursuing other unconstitutional means for staying in power - especially given his age. But we shouldn’t assume that will be the case. And this type of joke isn’t funny - especially from the president who gave us January 6th.

Bari Weiss’s central conceit is that she knows better than the mainstream media because of woke excesses. She has an unearned arrogance, which the anti-woke Right celebrated. Her outlet, The Free Press, is worse than legacy media - riddled with ideological drivel, not real journalism. Now CBS.

Everything Netanyahu told Trump would happen in a war with Iran (see Haberman & Swan’s account in Regime Change below) was wrong. Iranian regime didn’t fall. Americans still being hit with ballistic missiles at bases. Iran has choked off Strait of Hormuz. Netanyahu was wrong about everything.

Christian Nationalism is a threat to America. JD Vance fuses the Catholic and Protestant wings of this radical movement. I’ve been researching him and his network for a while. They are deliberately attempting to dismantle the constitutional wall separating church and state - brick by brick.
