Since you can't confirm facts yourself, you rely on two tools: rationality (logic-based) and reasoning (based on experience and common sense). Common sense isn't common belief, it's the senses we all share: what eyes literally see, what ears literally hear etc.

Even if only one thing out of 100 online is true, that makes that one thing vitally important to receive. Why? Because if we can get closer to the truth, the choices we make will be better adapted to that reality.

Feeling intensely alive in harmless ways is vitally important when you consider the other options.
