I don't think this election supports that assertion. Nor do I think it really takes a great campaign to win in a D+7-10 environment, it just takes a not awful campaign lol

I think this is a misreading of the results. Narrowly winning a D+52 district suggests a lack of name recognition + the results clearly show ballot splitting by Democrats. Aka the party royally fucked up and voters didn't know who the democratic candidates were
