yeah, they obv found some spot that worked. I'm just hung up on the trees, imagining hemlock & spruce for AK, not coast oak & redwood & chaparral, but maybe they found a grove of red alder or such. More likely, they prob didn't care, like Twilight using the Columbia for a river in Forks WA. #hatm

That is creative. I get some of those .. but some are just, WHAAAT? what Alaskan river could possibly look like the San Jose / Mt Hamilton region?? #hatm

1) Excited to hear others' recs. I loved all the CA historical fiction we read in 4th grade like Tomas & the Redheaded Angel, Fog Island by Elsa Falk, Carlotta by Scott O'Dell, & Mama's Bank Account - and later The Luckiest Girl (Cleary). 2) 8 Mile, bc why not? 3) kid requested bread bowl #HATM

I had a poster in my room of California and all its state symbols (flower, rock, tree, etc.) and George Deukmejian was listed as governor, and I'd swear there was a tiny headshot of him on it too but I could be wrong. #HATM

Nicole has dual citizenship and mostly raised in Australia to Australian-born parents. I don't think Aussie representation needs that strict gate-keeping? #HATM

sticking with my 90s mindset, I think 'When Night Is Falling' is on Amazon. I love the cinematography but I wouldn't really call it a great Pride movie. #HATM

I watched what felt like so many Australian movies in the early/mid 90s! Flirting, The Last Days of Chez Nous, Strictly Ballroom, and the Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I missed Muriel's Wedding though. #HATM

There is a color code associating each rose color with meanings. Multi-colored roses can defy those, and can produce fun combinations. Eg: one combination I found in Portland’s rose garden a few years ago combined for something like “congratulations on your dead mother’s unfaithfulness”

Of all his roles, I think his angry Oompa Loompa character is how I imagine him most IRL. Like, 'why TF did I end up with a career playing cutesy characters in rom-coms? Fine, I'll do it, then pay me and leave me TF alone' #HATM
