Charlottetown is considering legalizing rolling stops which have been shown to be safer for cyclists than full stops, two-abreast riding, bike signals, and sidewalk cycling for kids under 14, and anyone in signed spots where there are temporary gaps in the bike network and low pedestrian volumes.

Been here in Calgary for a week… I’ve loved riding all around the city. Went to meet a friend at 85th St today, great ride!!! Wish more people would realize that it is a far more enjoyable way to get around!

To suggest “well you’re gonna have to ride some streets so you best get used to driving all streets” is just nonsense John Forester BS.

The thing is people don’t ride b/c the actual fatality risk is 1% or even 0.1%. They choose to ride b/c they perceive the risk to be acceptable and they feel comfortable riding. For most they will never be comfortable riding in traffic but the last bit to their home street is fine.

They have amazing trains and trams in Switzerland 🇨🇭 😀

Lachlan Patterson jokes that e-bike riders who don't pedal should remove the pedals and just admit they're riding a motorcycle on the sidewalk, comparing it to jet skis with oars. 😂

With so many Maritimers flying to Europe this summer thanks to Halifax airport’s boom in European destinations, I wonder if there will be a surge in people interested in having more walkable and bicyclable neighborhoods. 🤔 Did Mayor Fillmore or Premier Houston go to Europe this summer?

And if those shops need help deciding if they should drop Shopify, maybe customers should stop using shops who use Shopify. 🤷‍♂️
