Lavender caught Bazzana looking to end the seventh, then worked a scoreless eighth capped by a 5-4-3 double play. A very nice debut.

Nate Lavender's big-league debut comes with two on and two outs in the seventh, with Travis Bazzana at the plate as the tying run.

Robert Stock will make another start for the Mets.

Andy Green on Kodai Senga: “I really want to see him as a leverage reliever in a one-inning burst.” Said the prior bullpen alignment made that difficult because they needed Senga for length. Now they can audition him in that role.

Mets made these moves official. Bryce Conley was DFA'd, Joey Gerber released, Kevin Herget and MJ Melendez outrighted to Triple A.

As you’d expect, Jefferson Rojas will go to Double-A Binghamton and Sammy Stafura to High-A Brooklyn for the Mets.
