Good for Times Radio: got a former Navy commanding officer of a warship on right now (1745) saying the plan (sic) is as full of holes as a leaky dinghy.

Sorry but unless you, as a media outlet, have managed to get someone from the Navy (probably a former sailor because those currently serving maybe disbarred from commenting) to explain that this is extremely unlikely to happen for legal reasons, then, arguably, you haven't really done your job.

Fact for those arguing with grandad/ma. "Our research illustrates this vividly. When we recreated the atmospheric conditions of the 1976 UK heatwave under today’s climate, peak temperatures were around 3-4°C higher. The weather pattern was the same; the climate in which it occurred had changed."

‘Was this heatwave caused by climate change?’ – we’re asking the wrong questionInstead of asking whether climate change caused a heatwave, we should ask how much hotter it became because of fossil fuel emissions.theconversation.com

🧵On @thenewsagents.co.uk yesterday, school closures and the lab leak theory were offered as two examples of legitimate questions that were hard to ask. Both have in fact been asked constantly since 2020. But here's a thread on why I think they were wrong and dangerous on school closures 1/12
