Also I would not have been alerted to the job at ALL if not for my friend (u know who you are) and I’m so grateful for that omg I truly hate retail and the fact I don’t have to go back is huge

I’ve been quietly pursuing this job for like a month and had some setbacks (filled the original position I applied for but the recruiter liked me enough to recommend me another one). But all my bg checks/screens are done and I start basically at the same salary I worked 12 years for!

Trust me I could rant forever about him too and as a former local I’m additionally defensive. UGH I WISH WE COULD LEAVE WILD ANIMALS ALONE

Sensationalizing any sort of wild animal doesn't land well with me. There's a reason why biologists don't often give colloquial 'names' to specimens they study...

I can only summarize my feelings towards him like "it is a testament to the bonds animals share with one another that he's survived and thrived despite physical challenges that would cause another animal to potentially reject their offspring". I wish human intervention wasn't part of his story too.

I think next time I’ll do a tracing paper transfer - it’s really difficult just to draw in permanent sharpie on carving block. Also my speedball carving tools disappeared so I’m using a questionably sharp one (which explains how the new one got part of its cheek cut off)
