The Lady

This poem is just wonderful. I discovered it ten years ago through two different avenues at the same time, one very obvious; Fallout 3, the other, less so, We Will Become Silhuettes by The Postal Service. Nowadays I try not to think too much about nuclear war, it does no good.

Yesterday as I was heading to bed for my midday nap I found that the wind had blown a tarot card, fave down, onto my pillow. It was Eight of Wands. Dunno what it means, but the nap did not work out...

I must confess, if I was rich as hell I'd do evil things too, like commission a giant creepy monster marionette and walk it at night through suburban neighborhoods scaring the soul out of everyone around. The puppeteers and artists would be paid fairly however.
