Book #91 of 2026 - Steal Me by Helen Grant ( @helengrantsays.bsky.social ). Just arrived, and I’m starting it right away. A cautionary tale of cursed bookstores and books found there that are best left alone. A promising Scottish Gothic novella.

Book #89 of 2026 - The Violent Hour, 15th in the Inspector McLean series by James Oswald ( @sirbenfro.bsky.social ). These are excellent- an honest & determined man has unnatural events intrude into his cases. The series is so good I order the new releases from the UK rather than wait here in the US

Book #88 of 2026 - A Trade of Blood by @robertjbennett.bsky.social It’s the third in the wondrous Ana & Din mysteries, a pair of investigators very much like Nero Wolfe & Archie Goodwin, if they lived in a world where plants & animals could be modified to enhance abilities. Highest recommendation
