That should be a thing, but in our society in North America, there's never a value placed on that. If we made access to mental health services easier & less expensive, in addition to practicing actually listening to the people who are going through some serious things, we'd be better off

It's still terrible. The point being curtailing toxic fandoms is important. There needs to be a line that is not crossed. Too many people feel too damn comfy, telling creators to draw differently or tell them how to end their works... The audacity ! And let's not even get into the stalking

They didn't have the internet back then and, if they did they probably would. And more over, shipping in and of itself is not an issue, but some people make war over it which is real fucked up ! Fandom toxicity has been a problem for a long, long, long; the internet just amplified it.
