All of this is great advice! Even disposable salt or sugar packets can make the difference for a lot of folks.

Offer them water. Ask if they need something with sugar but ALSO ask if they need something with salt. Electrolytes like LMNT or Liquid IV are very helpful. Don’t try to get them to stand. There was a lot of weirdness at SDCC this year! An Eisners leak, AI controversy, an Akira Yoshida jumpscare... And also a lot of excitement, like the QUEEN OF THE DAMNED reveal, the YAGA trailer, the VIXEN, STATIC, and STEEL ongoing announcements!!! The Beat team captured it all.

I've remotely coordinated coverage for and covered SDCC with @comicsbeat.bsky.social for several years now, and I have to say that this was one of our busiest cons ever. The entire team produced such great work, from flying through breaking news to crafting thoughtful editorial pieces. 🧵
