I have low T and do HRT and I can tell you from personal experience that a person with low T is more likely to act like a thuggish dick than someone with normal amounts.

Yes, but as the film shows, it's more subtle. It starts with you wanting a comfortable life, friends, stability, etc. As you succeed, your original goals get confused with larger, grander ones, such as prestige, power--and even then you lie to yourself that your position helps those below you.

I just stumbled upon your post and had to look up and watch this movie. Wow! Excellent film. It really helps you see the small compromises a person makes until finally they're trapped in a cage made by their own hands. I imagine it's especially poignant to an actor such as yourself.
