They only eat like once a month so it's usually a good sized critter - whole birds or pack rats... like whopper with cheese kinda meals lol.

I've handled them carefully in the past with salad tongs to free them from glue traps and stuff but I wouldn't "handle" them carelessly or without a *really* good reason.

Yeah this is the biggest we've seen - he was well over a foot. They're super chill, too. As long as you give them space they just go about their biz like you're not there.

Just remember stain is a lot different than mixing paint. You can try to concoct it in the can but it's a lot easier to layer it. Like this is one coat of red mahogany and two coats of black cherry, and you can only really get absorption past 2 coats if you sand 180 or less.
