Back to work a week after emergency surgery. ".. do nothing 4-6 weeks. No lifting, nothing,.. you will rupture your sutures, bleed out, and you WILL die." - doc No sick days left 😪 So exhausted. Would kill for a fucking smoothie. Only thing feels good to eat but $$ of course. I owe millions now..

Miss the beard, don't miss the nerve pain. Incision is looking great. Clean bandages the last 4 changes i think is a great sign. Muscles are still weak af. Doc said he worked my neck over hard grinding away all the bone spurs n the fusion. Obvi, stabbed in the throat pain, but otherwise I'm good.

So not bad! Zero leakage or bleeding upon bandage changes. Cannot stress enough how weird not being in pain is. It freaks me out. Like I have a pressure pain on my neck and an obvious you got stabbed in the throat pain but no nerve pain. 30 years of it, then nothing..
