Arrived in Lansing, IA just in time on Wednesday to observe what I can only assume was a ceremony for placing the final beam on the new Blackhawk bridge before road construction officially began.

I was in Lansing on Wednesday and saw my first amended speed sign on the way out of town; a 55 mph sign with a 60 slapped over it. I can only imagine the confusion people are experiencing and will be experiencing going forwards. We were stuck in the Nixon era oil crisis while other states sped up.

From advancing to now delaying it's data center ordinance, it seems that the Palo data center plans have been paused, at least for now. Plans for a Morgan Valley Gas Power plant to power CR area data centers will hopefully be halted as well. Article: www.kcrg.com/2026/06/16/l...

Personal Note: I have not been super active on here for over a year now due to struggles in my personal life. Regardless, I post and share what I can! I haven't had the energy to keep up with the news cycle after You Know Who returned to office. It's been exhausting, but I haven't given up hope.

Google Ai summary has decreased traffic to sites like WIkipedia, which is troubling. Wikipedia, among many other websites scraped by Ai, is struggling to sustain itself.
