Somewhat dutifully I read Hotel Du Lac by Brookner A meditation on melancholy by the fabulously observant & acerbic Brookner; who beautifully satirises the 1st world problems of the inmates of the eponymous hotel. Mixed reviews but I loved the prose & found meaning. #bookclubsolitaire
