I just opened my laptop for the first time since closing mid-Simpsons-watching and as I opened it a gruff voice said “okaaay, ya fucking* moron!”. I’ve never been spontaneously insulted by a computer before. *accuracy compels me to say the subtitles read “lucky moron” but I heard what I heard.

This is a weird week for me. Excitement about album launching tomorrow on the one hand - anxiety about close family member having biopsy/lump-removal today of one of several ‘highly suspicious’ lumps, awaiting results of that and recent scans. And trying to catch up on some late work amongst it.

Noticed Duolingo had started the August challenge and said out loud “WHAT?! When did that happen?”. So that’s how I found out today was August already.

Today Catastrophic Selfie snippet, this time with moving pictures. Waves - an ultimately optimistic song about emotions and memories coming in waves during trauma recovery. Despite that it’s quite the upbeat rock romp. Album’s out on the 5th!
