Dead Calm: 1989. Directed by Philip Noyce. This was the film that brought Sam Neill to Steven Spielberg’s attention and led to him getting cast in Jurassic Park. Very intense minimalist thriller with basically three people in it. Strong film debut from Nicole Kidman too.
