Its like the door has a magnetic pull on his shin, he just slides into it as it closes, everytime I watch that scene I almost cry laugh st it, its so ridiculously shit! You'd think they'd just have him stand under the door and get crushed if he had to die via door but no, just lop his shin off.

Not to say something nice about Other M but that game actually understood Samus' flaw and inability to let others sacrifice themselves or to rely on others. Prime 4's ending would only work if the marines forced her to leave by activating the teleporter, Samus can't have a choice in that scenario.

Samus under no circumstances would leave people behind who need her. It is antithetical to her character, not being able to save people or even being allowed to try and save others deeply hurts and affects her. Prime 4 acts like it was her only choice even though she could've used her psychic powers

Samus' fatal flaw is explained in Fusion. She does not value herself as she should and will not let others lighten the load for her, she is willing to die in Fusion to stop the X parasites and only reconsiders because of Adam. Prime 4 disregards this explicit character flaw along with other lore.

The theme of sacrifice is better executed in this side story as the final lord sacrifices himself to protect a young priestess believing she'll be able to bring peace one day. Theres no real theme of sacrifice in Prine 4 because it doesnt feel earned or right.

That's literally the story of the Bryyonians in Prime 3! The Lords of science mock the old ways of magic which causes a cultural divide and leads to the magic users becoming more extreme and tribal, hunting down the Lords of science. Our narrator only survives by learning to use science and magic.

The mainline games have evolved the gameplay snd action in meaningful and fun ways, Samus feels the best to control she ever has in Dread, the boss fights are excellent, Raven Beak is the best antagonist and final boss in the whole series. Prime 4 can't match up at all in comparison and it should've

Samus has spoken in the mainline games since Super. Fusion fleshed out her personality and biggest flaw, Dread turns her into a literal and figurative Metroid. Samus Returns and Dread changed up tge staus quo recently by revealing the warrior tribe of the Chozo were still active.

It also sucks that the Lamorn are just a rehash of previous ideas in the Prime trilogy, their story is very similar to the Bryyonians but again less interesting. It's bizzare how much Prime 4 is stuck in the past when the mainline games have never been afraid of change and new developments.

Its funny that Prime 2 already gave us a superior Chozo clone with the Luminoth and had a far superior story since Samus actually shows up just in time to save them from genocide via the Ing. Also the federation troopers are used better in Echoes.

What kind of darker content you want to depict in your story ultimately comes down to you and what you think is right for your story or character and you shouldn't be discouraged from depicting it just because it may make others uncomfortable. Adults can choose to look away if they want or need to.

There is an uninterrupted version of the tape where we see James kill Mary, clearly see her struggle against him and scream in fear but I think it was the right choice to obscure the event with static since the full video kinda makes James completely irredeemable imo.
