It feels like something very basic and yet...

Among the many superlatives I could give my BF his timing was really perfect.

Wait two seconds in the hopes that he's read it and then blocked forever. Anyway that's more than a first date but it was very unsettling.

Cut to: Two months later, I'm in Calgary, I haven't updated my Scruff profile because I haven't actually been on it very much. This guy, who apparently did not block me there, sends a message and says "so you're single, huh?" I say "nope, just haven't updated my profile!"

Date ends, I'm thinking I want to let him down easy but also not see him again. He still texts, I deflect, and eventually I meet my BF and tell him I met someone and surprise it's a thing. Luckily, he blocks me on everything, and I think that's the end of it.

I tell him I'll be going to Calgary for my birthday to have a cool party with all of my friends. He goes "I'm going to a wedding that weekend, you should be my plus one." Note, this is two months before my birthday. This made me uncomfortable, because I realized what he wanted was a pet.

Anyway, skip through the sex part - it was fine - and we're talking. He keeps talking about taking me to Toronto, visiting him in Saskatoon, and so on. And I'm going "dude I work full time, no, these aren't practical ideas." Anyway, I'm starting to get uncomfortable.

Dinner was slightly odd, but he was nice and fairly cute so I was going with it. He seemed very excited to be taking a boy out of the house, introduced me to the wait staff he knew. I was horny and Going Through Unrelated Emotions so I decided it was a good time and followed him to his hotel room.

Alright, so this is "Date" rather than "hookup." My worst hookup story is quite funny. This one is... Odd. Anyway, guy was chatting me up for a while. He suggested a date, I said sure. I said I didn't want to go for pizza, he took me to a pizza restaurant. I was confused at this point.
