Two things. As with any newspaper headline, if a TV programme asks a question, the answer is without exception no. The second is that ADHD drugs work because people with ADHD react differently to stimulants to the rest of the population. It's not just in their head but their bodies too.
Scott BryanChannel 4 has announced documentary “The Great ADHD Myth?” It “seeks to determine whether ADHD is a genuine neurodevelopmental disorder, or a social construct.”
There is one significant factor missing from this, and it is unpaid care work (predominantly done by women). And part of the reason it exists is because social care in its other forms is poor or unaffordable.
