Some Hex news overshadowed by us finally getting word about the upcoming series (more on that in another post) is that not only are we getting a second Western volume from the DC Finest line, it'll contain the very first reprint of the rare "Zany" Jonah Hex parody!

Didn't really warm up to "Born in the USA" until adulthood (had to get some years in me to understand the anger in it), but "I'm on Fire" clicked with me as a little kid. I think in that case, it was less the subject matter and more the guitar and the image that the words paint in my head. 🎸🎤

They (almost) always have ol' Jonah in uniform, but it doesn't get mentioned often that he managed to rise to the rank of lieutenant. Not bad for a poor kid who probably never got done with his schoolin', thanks to Pa sellin' him off to the Apache and all.
